Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh My!

Yesterday we took the two hour drive to visit the Columbia Zoo. The kids and I drove up with my friend Katie and her son Jackson. I must admit it was a rather enjoyable drive. The kids did great :) We meet Shelley and her three kids there for a long fun filled day of animals! I believe the biggest hit was the monkeys. They were swinging all around and making really loud noises which the kids found really funny. Here are a few pictures to show you of our day! Also if you have never been or it has been a really long time I totally recommend going back!

This is the group of kids that were with us.

Gracie and Jackson feeding the goats. I was shocked that Gracie allowed the goats to lick her fingers and nibble food out of her hand. Sometimes she can be a big chicken when it comes to new animals. Not yesterday...

All Gracie talked about before we went to the Zoo was Elephants but once she saw them she could care less... Go Figure!

All I can say is Shelley Thank you Thank You Thank you! Thomas absolutely loved it and so did mommy... He much rather be in that then being held or in the stroller!

I told everyone to make a silly face!

Some tired kiddos! But it did make for a quiet ride back to Charleston :)

Not three little monkey's but FIVE!

This past Saturday Tommy and I got a glimpse of what it would be like to have five kids. All we could do was laugh. We had a 5 year old, a 3 year old, a 2 year old, a 10 month old and a 4 month old. I think the funniest time was bath time. It was like an assembly line of washing bodies and hair! HA HA too funny! Thanks for letting the kids come play Shelley and so glad you were able to get a dinner date with your hubby!

Poor Thomas is like what is going on?

Birthday Pictures...

This past Sunday we celebrated Gracie's 2nd birthday with both of our families. We had a great time and thank you to our family for your unconditional support and love! To preface some of these pictures I found online a activity table that I absolutely loved for Gracie. Except it was 249.00 not including the paper roll or shipping. Way to much for me to spend :) So I showed Tommy a picture of it and asked him if he thought he could build it! Here are a few pictures to show.

(Pottery Barn Picture)

The finished product!
There is a roll of paper at the right end of the table to pull over the table to draw all over. Pottery barn price 250.00. Our price about $40.00. All we had to pay for was stain the paper roll and handles. The material was left over from a job site.

"Strawbee Pickin"

Today we went as Gracie calls it" Strawbee Pickin". The kids and I joined Shelley, Carson, Eli, Isaac, Jackie, Noa, Ruthie, Ivana, Evie & Ansley out at Ambrose Farm to pick some wonderful strawberries. I wasn't sure what to except with Gracie & Thomas. Gracie was not a big fan at all. She didn't like getting her feet dirty or didn't like walking in the rows. So she picked I think one strawberry and was done :) Thomas on the other hand didn't mind at all. As quickly as I put them in the bucket he would try and eat them. He had dirt and strawberry from one end of his body to the other along with mommy. We had a great time with everyone and glad we were able to get together! Thanks guys!

Hours of Fun

Now that the weather is so beautiful we spend majority of our time outside! Thank you to the wonderful Talbott family who gave us their old swing set. Gracie and Thomas will swing all day long if I let them. Along with swinging and sliding we brought out the pool from last year and both kiddos play play play. So glad it is summer time :)
