Christmas 2009

I must say this Christmas was very low key and we really enjoyed that way! We were able to relax at home all morning while the kids enjoyed their toys. After naps we went down to the hospital to see my dad (a.k.a POPS). We pushed Gracie all the way to the 7th floor from the parking garage in her car so she could show pops what she got for Christmas.

Gracie so excited to see what is in her stocking!

Watch out she is driving!!!

Thanksgiving Day Helpers

This Thanksgiving we started our on tradition of staying home! I have realized that it is way to hard to try and do both families on thanksgiving day with two young kids now. So this year we hosted at our house. It turned out wonderful :) I had two wonderful helpers! Gracie helped me cooking and Thomas helped by watching and talking to us...

4 month/ 18 month check ups

I told myself this morning that today is either going to be a nightmare or go excellent. And excellent it went :) I scheduled Thomas 4 month check up and Gracie's 18 month check up on the same day at the same time just to save me an extra trip to the doctor. Gracie did great! Still off the charts for her height. And Thomas did wonderful until shot time came around! But needless to say he slept the rest of the afternoon :) So hard to believe that our kids are growing so big so fast!!!

Huge Milestones!

Okay I am alittle overwhelmed I will admit! It seems like just yesterday Thomas was born but now my little man is eating cereal. How is it possible that they grow up so fast so quickly!! Not only has he started cereal but last night he slept 7:30pm to 7:30am! WHOA!!! And to add to those two big milestones he has started rolling over... Just when you think that is enough excitement in one household. Gracie starts using the POTTY!!!! Yep that right the big girl potty.
Keep it coming mom!!!!This is the look of a full belly!
Finally a tiny pony tail......
Goodmorning Mommy

Fun day with "Aunt Jenny"

Last week we were able to go to the Children's Museum with "Aunt Jenny" and had a wonderful time! Last time I took Gracie to the museum Thomas wasn't born yet and she was barely even walking. So needless to say this time we were able to do everything and boy did she have fun :) I think her favorite part was either the grocery store shopping or carrying around the baby dolls in the toddler room. Thanks Jenny for a fun day :)

I am good at this I always see mommy doing it!

What fruit do I want?

Excuse me I have a coupon for that!!!

(notice Cashier Jenny with a baby in her arms. So talented)

Coastal Carolina Fair

Sunday Tommy, Gracie and I went to the Coastal Carolina Fair. We decided to only take Gracie and have just a "Gracie Day". I must say she was mesmerized by the lights, people, helicopter that kept flying over and rides. She is just like her mom when it comes to fair food. LOVES IT :) She and I shared a yummy powdered sugar covered funnel cake. Boy oh boy was it good. We took her to see the animals and she was not so impressed. The only animal she would even come close to was the cows forget the chickens, goats and horses. She made some of the funniest faces i have ever seen when the chickens and roosters made noises. We got a few pictures to share!

Trick or Treat

This year for Halloween we decided to stay home and hand out candy to all the trick or treater! Gracie absolutly loved it. Nothing like eating candy and waiting for kids all dressed up to come see you and get candy from you. Gracie did a very good sharing her candy with the kids.

What is the result of a kid having too much candy?

Running around the yard at 8:30 at night like a wild woman :)

Happy Boy...

Our Happy Baby Boy!

Tickle Tickle :)

Thomas has become very ticklish and very talkative with in the last week or so and I absolutely love it! We finally got him on a video. I can't wait for him to start laughing out loud! Also here are a few pictures of crazy Ms. Gracie.

My Uncle Claus and other family came to see Thomas not long after he was born and Gracie was happy to see everyone!

Okay Gracie was patting on her diaper and I asked her if she needed to go potty and she ran straight to the bathroom like she knew exactly what she was doing. But it was just a big tease. She never went potty on the big potty but I was still very excited she knew what it meant.

Gracie and her bookbag. She looks so grown up!

She must have been pretending it was a jet pack because she was running all around the house.

Quick stop for a picture! Check out the pose!

Non-Stop

Okay, I must admit having a 17 month old and a 3 month old the entertainment never ends around our house. Actually Gracie alone keeps me entertained:) She is quickly figuring out new things to say and a lot of the time it sounds Chinese but I can usually figure out what she wants or needs. Poor Thomas has a sister that loves him so much that he gets all kind of things given to him whether he wants them or not. I am constantly says, "No Gracie, Thomas doesn't need a pillow, no Gracie, Thomas can't eat that yet, no Gracie you drink your juice, Gracie give Thomas his pacifier back.

Besides all the helping out she does she has learned a few new words. Some I like and some I don't! We have started the teach her that if she wants something to ask PLEASE.. It sounds so cute because it usually comes out "peas". The word I am not a fan of is "NO"! I think she picked it up when I tell her "no" and when I tell the dog "no". Woody (our dog) was the first one to be told "no" by Gracie but it quickly went to telling us "no". She uses it when she doesn't want to eat certain things or if she doesn't want to do something we ask her to do. That part I am not a fan about :)

It is really hard to believe that our kids are 17 months and 3 months already. Before I know it Thomas will be eating solids and Gracie will be learning to use the potty and sleeping in a big girl bed. But by no means are we going to rush either of these new obstacles.

I will post all my new pictures at a later time because I can't find my camera! Funny how that happens :) "GRACIE"

Thomas 2 month check up

Today was Thomas' 2 month check up and it went great. Okay well the non shot part went great and thankfully Jenny was able to go with me to help out with Gracie. THANK YOU JENNY!!! Thomas is growing, growing, growing! He weighs 12 lbs. 9 ozs. and is in the 75th percentile for weight. He is 24 1/4 inches tall and in the 90th percentile for height. The doctor is guessing he will be between 6-6 1/2 feet tall when he grows up. My baby boy is getting so big and time is going by way to fast for me...

Summer 2009

We have had alot going on lately but I just haven't had the time to post pictures. Some today I had a little free time to update...

A couple of weekends ago Tommy and I took the kiddos to Charlestowne Landing to the animal forest which Gracie loved. Thomas slept the whole time which honestly suited me just fine:)

After we left Charlestowne Landing and Gracie got a good nap Tommy went outside to change the brake pads on his truck and Gracie thought her daddy needed some help!

Hey Dad good news I found the problem!!

"Don't worry Dad I'll bring my on tools"

Gracie "What's in your bucket?"

All of daddy's lug nuts! Sweetie he might need those..

My little grease monkeys:)

Then for Labor Day we went and spent the day out at Granny and Papa's(Tom and Dawn's) to have a cook out and watch the Labor Day Parade.

Tommy, Granny and Gracie going for a ride..

And finally just some misc. pictures of the two little squirts:)

I can't believe how fast they grow

Superstar!!

There it is! The look that tells you I am about to do something I not supposed too...

Thomas where did you get those?

Nevermind :)
