Finally....

We have had many things going on in the Martin household lately! Way to many to be exact! After a good week and a half  the kids are finally feeling better. Gracie started off with this crazy high fever that lasted almost five whole day and would never go down then Thomas got it and luckily it only lasted 48 hours or so with him. After all the sickness went away we had some exciting news. Thomas finally figured out how to crawl! YEAH! He is still testing the waters and is pretty slow about it but he can get from point A to point B. Also this week he had his first piece of toast, some cut up strawberries, yogurt and other fun fruit. He is getting big. Also Gracie made her own little discovery this week. How to lock and unlock the back door. For those of you that don't know we have a large pond in our backyard and no fence between us and the pond. So after Gracie figured out how to open and close the back door I thought it was still okay because I could always lock it but not anymore. When she feels like going outside and I tell her not right now what happens she takes it upon herself to go out since she is such a big girl. Lastly I went to Harris Teeter this week for triples and did the best I have ever done since I started couponing. I got a $123.65 worth of groceries and only spent $40. 12. WOW! I was so excited and the little cashier just rolled her eyes at me and giggled!

Crafts

To start off I am by no means a crafty person. I like to think I am and I do love making things but my problem is finishing them. I will get so excited about starting something and jump in feet first but when it comes to finishing it that is where I am horrible. So lately I have gotten on this kick about making this for the kiddos. Here are just a couple of things I have done the last couple days.

"Gracie's Easter Basket"
(side note: I just the Pottery Barn Kids catalog in the mail last week and it has the exact same baskets with your childs name on it for 40 something dollars and I thought I would love that but no way am I paying that much for a Easter Basket that will only have candy in it once a year! So I made it and I am having someone monogram it for $5.00. Total price: $13.50!!!)

Gracie's new apron! She loves helping cook but she gets so messy... Problem solved!
