This past weekend was a rough weekend to say the least! Tommy left Friday afternoon to go out of town hunting and the kids and I headed to my parents to see my brother P.J. who came in town for the weekend. We were thinking the kids and I were going to spend the night out at my parents with everyone because I am not a fan of being home alone. So after hanging out for a while I decided I really just wanted to go and sleep in my own bed and have a normal routine for the kids and head back out to my parents Saturday for the day. Well, as you can probably tell that was my plan.... Not exactly how things worked out! About 12:30 am Annabelle woke up throwing up and about fifteen minutes later both Gracie and Thomas woke up screaming crying for daddy. Long story short we all made it back to sleep around 3:30am only to wake back up at 6am.
Saturday was a yucky, raining, stay inside all day kind of day, so that is exactly what we did. Annabelle thankfully was not throwing up anymore but definetly not feeling good. So Sunday comes around and we go to church and come home and while the kids are napping I needed to find something in my purse and low and behold I can't find it. After searching high and low I remembered that when the kids and I came home Friday night I was in a rush to get them and all there stuff inside because it was late that I forgot my purse in my car. So you guessed it someone went into my car and stole my purse right out of my driveway..... Everything gone.... Drivers license, debit card, bank account numbers, check book, my costas, etc.... I felt so violated! A police officer came to our house and took a report and even took finger prints off my car in hopes that we could find out who did it. But he did tell my that he unfortunately doesn't have high hopes of finding the person.
Anyway my reason in telling you all of this is because I am choosing to look at this rough weekend as positive! I am thankful that my kids and I are safe, I am thankful that we have a roof over our heads to keep us dry when it rains, I am thankful that all of those things that were taken are replaceable and I am thankful my husband came home safe and sound.
