Home Sweet Home

Oh, how things have changed at the Martin household. For the better of course!! Thomas is doing wonderful. We got home on Thursday last week and have been adjusting everyday to our new family. Gracie loves her brother very much and wants to hold him and play with him but doesn't completely understand when we tell her to be she needs to be gentle he is a baby. She is not completely adjusted to him coming into her life but she is slowly getting better. She has her whining moments and sometimes has a melt down when Tommy or I leave the room or even when we just simply correct her for doing something she is not suppose too. Hopefully that will change here soon! Thomas is eating very well and sleeping alot. Fortunately he has only been getting up twice at night to eat. That has been a huge blessing for Tommy and I. We are so thankful for a new member of the family and praise God for his safe arrival and good health. Here are a few pictures.

He's Here!

Thomas Clarence Martin III was born on Tuesday July 22 at 9:41 am. I woke up having contractions at 4:30am on Tuesday and went to the hospital at 7:00am and was 8cm. Two and a half hours later Thomas arrived. This delivery went way quicker then Gracie! We are now home and everyone is doing great. We are going to try and get some sleep before the next feeding so we will update pictures tomorrow! Thanks for all your prayers. God is Good!!!

Officially Due

Well it has come! My due date is officially today! I had a doctors appointment this morning and I am still 2cm but my cervix is now 80% thinned out. So at least there is some change. My doctor told me that he only wants me going about a week past my due date before I am to be induced. I really don't want to have to be induced so I am praying that he will come on his own this week! Please keep Thomas in your prayers!

Some of the greatest friends ever!

I have come to realize that we are a very blessed family because we have some of the most wonderful, thoughtful, amazing friends ever! Last week our good friends Chris and Shelley hosted a surprise baby shower for me. Tommy was in on it the whole time and never lead me to think that something was going on. Of course, when we arrived to the Talbott's house for what I thought was dinner and all of our friends where there to yell SURPRISE! I am 9 months pregnant and emotional still so of course I cried!! HA HA Thank you to all of you who came and shared that special moment with us! And a special thanks to Chris and Shelley! I love you guys!! Now here are a few pictures to share. On a side note I must say Eli was great! He had special hats for some people, he helped us unwrap our gifts and told us what each one was in case we couldn't tell, entertained the ladies and helped Gracie with her drink! HA HA He was such a big help!

When will it stop....

Okay, so maybe I am confused but I thought that the last couple weeks of your pregnancy you don't gain that much weight. Well, last week I went in for my last two week check up and I had only gained 1/2 pound in two weeks. That was "A" Okay with me! But this week (my first weekly check up) I gained 3 1/2 pounds!!! WHAT!!! In one week. What is going on. Weeks ago I started not to fit into my prego clothes and now I am still packing it on. Also I am 2cm dilated. Yea!! At least I know something is going on with Mr. Thomas! The doctor said everything is great including my weight (which by the way I laughed at) and it is now just a waiting game. So we will see when the time comes :)

Gracie where is Mommy's phone....

Yep, that's right Gracie took my cell phone. Where did she take it you ask? The TOILET for a swim!! How my child reached it off the dresser and manage to open the toilet lid all the way I will never know. All I know now is the bathroom doors are staying shut at all times!!! I don't want to risk her taking a swim in the toilet! Also this morning I tried turning my camera on and guess what it doesn't want to work either. All I can think is GRACIE!! What she did I will never know.... At this point this morning I hate all electronics :(

So Many Updates!

I have been such a slack blogger here lately! To start we had Gracie's first birthday in May and had a party with all her friends. Thanks to everyone who came and shared in her special day with us. I can't believe a year has come and gone. When people tell you too enjoy every minute because it flies by before you know it. They are not lying!

We also had the chance to go out in the boat with the Talbott's. We were not able to stay out very long because of the weather and the water was pretty chilly so Chris was unable to knee board but we will have to try again soon! Look at the cute kids!

Last but not least Thomas! He is growing quickly along with mommy. I have just about reached the same weight I weighed when I delivered Gracie and I still have 6 weeks to go! I just realized that my maternity clothes that I wore with Gracie no longer fit. They have become all too short for my growing belly! Oh BOY!
